Vendor portal
Manage your company profile, respond to RFPs with AI assist and response pre-fill, and track your submissions.
The vendor portal is your home base for responding to RFPs on Strutter. View invitations, draft responses with AI help, and manage your company profile, all in one place.
What is the vendor portal?
The vendor portal gives vendors a dedicated dashboard to:
- View and respond to RFPs they've been invited to
- Draft answers faster with AI assist
- Manage company information and team members
- Build a Q&A Library of reusable responses
It's designed so vendors can respond to RFPs quickly and professionally, without starting from scratch every time.
Access the portal
There are two ways to get started:
- During onboarding. Choose "Respond to RFPs" or "Both" when you create your account, and the portal is enabled automatically.
- From settings. Already have an account? Go to Settings and enable the vendor portal anytime.
Claiming an invitation
When an RFP issuer invites you to respond, you'll receive an email with a secure link. Here's what happens:
- Click the link to view the full RFP, including all sections, questions, and due dates
- You can review the RFP without an account
- When ready to respond, sign up or sign in to Strutter
- Sign in with the same email address that received the invitation
- The RFP is then linked to your vendor portal dashboard
Vendor invitation claims are tied to the invited email address. If you sign up with email and password, verify your email before you complete the claim flow.
Portal dashboard
Your dashboard shows every RFP you've been invited to, along with its status and due date. Click any RFP to view the full details and start your response.
Responding to RFPs
Open an RFP from your dashboard to see all sections and questions. Fill in each answer using the appropriate input type: rich text, numbers, dates, tables, sliders, or select fields. Everything auto-saves as you work.
Strutter Assist
Use Strutter Assist to draft responses faster. The AI suggests answers based on the question context and your company profile, so you're not starting from a blank page. Review and edit the suggestions before submitting.
Strutter Assist is available on select plans and uses your plan's AI credits. See plans and pricing for details.
AI Response Pre-fill
If you've responded to RFPs on Strutter before, the platform automatically finds your past answers that are relevant to the current questions. When you open an RFP response form, you'll see suggestions based on what you've written previously.
How it works:
- Open an RFP you've been invited to
- For each question, Strutter searches your past responses for similar answers
- If a match is found, a suggestion card appears above the question with a preview of your past response
- Click Use this response to populate the field, or Dismiss to hide the suggestion
- Edit the pre-filled text as needed before submitting
Confidence levels. Each suggestion shows a confidence label:
- High (green): strong match to the current question
- Medium (amber): good match with some differences
- Low (orange): partial match that may need more editing
What gets suggested. Pre-fill works for text-based question types: rich text, number, single select, multi select, and table. It does not apply to file uploads, date pickers, or sliders.
Bulk actions. When multiple suggestions are available, a banner at the top of the form shows how many were found. You can dismiss all suggestions at once if you prefer to start fresh.
Privacy. Pre-fill only uses your own past responses. If you're responding through the vendor portal, suggestions may include responses from other members of your organization. Responses from other companies are never visible to you.
Submitting your response
When you're ready, click Submit. A celebration confirms your response is in. Once submitted, your response is locked and sent to the issuer for scoring. Vendors cannot edit responses after submission.
Settings
From the vendor portal settings, manage:
- Company info. Update your company name, description, and contact details. This information is shared with RFP issuers.
- AI auto-fill. Save your company background so Strutter Assist can generate more relevant draft responses.
- Your plan. View your current plan, usage, and limits.
Team management
Invite team members to your vendor organization so they can collaborate on RFP responses. From the Team page:
- Send email invitations to new team members
- View active team members and their status
- Remove team members who no longer need access
Team size is limited by your plan. See plans and pricing for details.
Q&A Library
Build a library of reusable question-and-answer pairs. When responding to an RFP, the Q&A Library suggests past answers that match the current question, saving time on common topics like security, compliance, and company background.
To build your library:
- Go to Q&A Library in the vendor portal sidebar
- Add question-answer pairs manually, or save answers from completed RFP responses
- The library grows over time as you respond to more RFPs
Q&A Library storage limits vary by plan. See plans and pricing for details.
